Food Drive for our brothers and sisters in need:
We would like to humbly ask for your help. It has been brought to our attention that the Salvation Army in Ontario, as well as Mary’s Mercy Center, have indicated that they are in need of a variety of food donations. We have been blessed to serve as volunteers at these Centers for a number of years, and we have seen how they continuously provide a lifeline to many of the less fortunate.
With the Covid pandemic, these past two years have proven to be difficult in many ways, and the homeless and those in need have been particularly impacted. Both the Salvation Army and Mary’s Mercy Center, as part of their outreach programs, have requested pop-top canned goods and food items that can be given out as a brown bag lunch.
In response, we are asking for help in providing the following items:
a) Pop-top items, including, but not limited to: Vienna Sausage, Tuna, Cracker/tuna combo, etc.
b) Small cups of pudding and/or fruit.
c) Oatmeal packages, small cereal boxes
d) Small bags of chips
e) Paper bags
f) Bottled water
If you are able to provide any of the above items, there are two options in providing the supplies:
1. Bring the items to our house, or let me know when we can pick them up from you.
2. Make a donation to the link at Transformingalife.org, and we will purchase the items.
100 % of your donation will be used to purchase the necessary items.
We would like to get all of the items delivered to the shelters during the week of Easter.
